Fountain City Roller Derby (FCRD) is a 7 year old league based in Kansas City, Missouri. You may have heard of the city for its famous fountains, delicious BBQ, or maybe even our World Series-winning Royals baseball team. What you probably didn't know, is that there is a roller derby league who is about to defend their National title in November.

FCRD started with barely enough women to field 2 teams. We wore t-shirts with iron on letters and no one quite knew what to do on the track. In the 7 years since that first game, our league has grown to over 100 skaters, expanded to co-ed teams, and leveled up our skill and game strategy. We have bounced around from a couple of different rulesets, starting with Old School Derby Association. We currently skate MADE - Modern Athletic Derby Endeavour. The MADE ruleset is hosting the 3rd annual national championship competition in Texas in November. FCRD women's and coed teams are the ranking champions from 2015 and are currently in training to retain the title and trophies for 2016.

Since roller derby is not a paid sport, everything we do comes out of pocket, and we do mean everything! Our skates, our gear, our travel expenses to get to the game, our hotel, our meals, and our uniforms are all covered by the skaters in the form of personal funds or fundraising efforts. This is where help would be so incredible. Allstarslots.com is running a contest to provide $1000 in uniforms or equipment for a deserving team, and winning this prize would mean new uniforms for both FCRD national teams. We have a reputation and titles to defend, and coming out strong in matching uniforms would definitely up our confidence against leagues who have been around longer and who are hungry to take back the national title.
