The Fountain City Roller Derby boot camp teaches proper skating and roller derby techniques. However, the best way to get a head start and improve quickly is to become comfortable on wheels! 

There are many skating rinks throughout the Kansas City metro area. Below is a list of these rinks, many of which offer speed skate rentals for an additional fee. Speed skates will provide a feel that is closest to derby skates, but any time spent on quad skates (as opposed to inlines) is beneficial.
